The ability to build custom-designed manufacturing equipment also enables Hose Master to produce products to a higher standard than those made by off-the-shelf equipment. With “standard” equipment, quality and performance features are determined by the equipment’s limitations. In contrast, Hose Master first determines the quality and performance features of the customer needs, then builds the machinery to make products perfectly suited for that application.
Hose Master’s highly trained staff uses state-of-the-art manufacturing equipment at its 350,000-square-foot facility in Cleveland, Ohio, as well as it’s other facilities in Houston, Texas; Atlanta, Georgia; and Reno, Nevada. These facilities produce large volumes of high-quality hose assemblies fabricated by a team of 90+ certified ASME IX welders.
To assure the highest quality, Hose Master tests 100% of the hoses that are released from its facilities, and has a state-of-the-art failure analysis lab where detailed reports can be compiled in the event of a failure.

Tuthill has always been a company with heart. In our early days, we made the bricks that helped make Chicago, relying on horses to carry the clay. Some days, the heat and haul were too much for their hearts – and ours – to bear. So we created an oil pump to power a truck, saving our four-legged friends and laying the foundation for our future.
Today, we make pumps, blowers, and vacuums, daring to make them better every day. But the original pump – the heart – is still at our company’s core. We’re on a journey to become a Conscious Company, inviting the entire Tuthill community to come alive in everything we believe, say, and create. And we’re extending that invitation beyond our walls. To have a seismic impact on our world, all hearts are vital. When our hearts are awake, our energy is contagious, and we make ripples that can move millions. The world needs people who are alive from the heart. Because when we come alive, the world comes along.

Freelin-Wade was started in 1980 behind the vision of our founder Fred Plews to, “Find a need and fill it.” Fred’s long career building dental equipment led him to design a special polyurethane tube for that industry. His high-performance tubing became the foundation for Freelin-Wade.
We quickly learned that polyurethane not only works great in dental equipment but has applications across virtually all industries. In the decades that have followed, we’ve been expanding our product line to include more than 4,000 stock items. In addition, we have increased our custom capabilities so we can do an infinite range of variations.
The company that started in Fred’s garage now employs more than 100 people in a large manufacturing center in McMinnville, Oregon. We are located among the rolling hills of the Willamette Valley in the middle of the region’s famous pinot noir vineyards. We continue to hold to Fred’s vision, filling our customer’s needs with our large inventory of plastic tubing, flexible hoses and rapid turnaround of variations.
